Privacy policy

The controller of your personal data is , . Contact: support.

The short version

Your voice and everything you dictate stay on your own computer. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to store, sell or lose. The only personal data we hold is the email address you gave at checkout, tied to your licence key.

What never leaves your PC

Speech recognition runs entirely on your machine. The app's local log file records the length of a transcript and how long processing took — never the words themselves — and that file stays on your computer.

What we do hold

DataWhyHow long
Email address To send your licence key and handle support and refunds Until you ask us to erase it
Licence key and purchase reference To issue, validate and — if you are refunded — revoke the licence Life of the licence
Anonymous machine identifier (a one-way hash) To enforce the two-machine limit Life of the licence
Date of the last licence check So support can tell which of your machines is still in use Life of the licence

The machine identifier is a hash. It is not reversible into your name, your hardware serial numbers, or anything else about you, and it is not used for tracking or advertising.

Legal basis

Where the UK/EU GDPR applies: performance of our contract with you (issuing and validating the licence you bought) and our legitimate interest in preventing licence abuse. We do not rely on consent for any of it, and we do not process special-category data.

Who else is involved

We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we run no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, or to object to or restrict processing. Email support and we will action it.

Erasure removes your email address from our records. Your licence keeps working — we deliberately keep the key and its activation slots, because deleting them would break software you paid for. Once erased we can no longer look your key up by email, so keep a copy of it.

If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Beep AI is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page. It is dated by the version of the site you are reading.
